Is the BMW version of AIO-5 Play compatible with my BMW?
The AIO-5 Play for BMW is designed specifically for motorcycles equipped with BMW Nav Prep. It connects directly to Nav Prep and is powered by your BMW's electrical system.
We know that many BMW owners want to make sure their motorcycle is compatible. Here's what you need to know:
BMW with a 3-pin navigation interface but without navigation preparation:
If your BMW has a 3-pin navigation interface but is not equipped with Nav Prep, you can still make your motorcycle compatible with the AIO-5 Play for BMW version. Simply install a BMW navigator base yourself. This addition will allow the AIO-5 Play to integrate seamlessly with your motorcycle, providing the full range of functions. Locate the 3-pin navigation interface
Reading tire pressure data:
- If your BMW has a factory-installed TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), CHIGEE can directly read TPMS data.
- If your BMW does not have a factory-installed TPMS, consider purchasing the CHIGEE TPMS . Please note that CHIGEE devices are not compatible with other brands' TPMS.

Perfect Compatibility:
- CHIGEE devices integrate seamlessly with BMWs, providing native data access and control of the Wonder Wheel.
- Make sure you have selected “NAV” in the Settings-Functions-RC menu, instead of “CGRC”.
- If your BMW is fully compatible but you do not see the “TFT-NAV” indicator on the top right corner of your BMW TFT dashboard after connecting the CHIGEE, please update the software .

Unsupported software:
- Native BMW data is accessible, but Wonder Wheel control requires a software update or purchase of CGRC CAN .
- We have identified that some models do not support software updates. Please refer to the compatibility table for more information.

Without Wonder Wheel:
- For BMWs without Wonder Wheel, we recommend the CGRC PRO remote controller.

CGRC CAN required in Wonder Wheel control (native data can be read):
- For RT/K series with mechanical instruments , you can purchase the CGRC CAN for control. (K1600 Series 2011-2021 / R1250 RT Series 2020 / R1200 RT Series 2016-2017 R1200 R)

Wonder Wheel control is not available (native data can be read):
- For RT/K series with TFT instruments, the Wonder Wheel control is not available, please consider the CGRC PRO remote control instead. (R1250 RT 2021-2023 and K1600 2022-2023 and K1600B 2022-2023 models)
Issues with reading native data and controlling the wonder wheel:
Some BMWs have pre-installed navigation systems with varying software versions. Even if your BMW has NAV Prep installed, it may not be able to directly access the Wonderwheel control or read native data as advertised. This inconsistency is due to software variations between different BMW models and production years. Please contact an authorized BMW dealer to schedule a software update for your navigation system.
